Object Description

The tables of kidney-shape and veneered with fine mahogany, supported on cabriole legs with lion’s paw sabots and ormolu espagnolettes joined together by a shaped undertier, the fluted legs extending to support the shaped top and frieze enclosing a lockable drawer with curved front; surmounted by a fleur de pêcher marble top and three-quarter pierced brass gallery.

This popular model was made by some of the best Parisian cabinetmakers of the Belle Époque, including Paul Sormani and François Linke. Linke is most often associated with the use of fleur de pêcher marble as seen on these occasional tables.
