Object Description
A rare and fine PAIR of Regency period Mahogany Salver Stands, the rectangular bases with a moulded edge and with turned ebony salver retainers, designed to display silver or pewter salvers, dishes or porcelain chargers upon on a sideboard or serving table, the broad strut back supports having canted corners and with an ‘egg-and-dart’ moulded edge .
These stands were produced by the esteemed cabinet-making firm of Gillows of Lancaster and London.
