Object Description
A Rare and Important Venetian Polychrome and Ebonised Figural Gueridon.
This rare gueridon has a circular scagliola top in the form of an inverted shield supported by a finely carved crouching blackamoor figure with feathered headress. The figure kneels on a naturalistically carved star emblazoned cloth with tasselled ends, on a hexagonal base.
