Object Description
A fine quality William IV brass inlaid rosewood side cabinet in the Boulle manner with both partie and contra-partie boulle. In particular the work around the doors is in the 17th century Boulle manner. The top is probably not original and is a fine fossil marble.

Height 36 inches, width 48 inches, depth 14 inches.
The Regency period saw the burgeoning of a fashion for the marquetry named after Andre Charles Boulle of the Louis XIV. Cabinet makers Parker and Le Gaigneur gained particular fame.
