Object Description
A small 17th century food cupboard, probably Spanish or German.
This piece consists of two cupboard doors, the largest at the top and both with later working locks and a key. The doors have simple and refined geometric moulded designs along with dual moulded panels either side.
The top of the cupboard has a finely moulded cornice with a centre moulded band in the middle of the cupboard and a heavily molded skirt at the bottom, which hangs above the later sledge feet.
The cupboard has had some wood worm and restorations through out its life, commensurate with age. Overall it is excellent condition and has fantastic colour and patination.
