Object Description
A very fine 15 Carat Yellow Gold (stamped) “Belle Epoque” Natural Sapphire & Seed Pearl Demi-Necklace. This beautifully crafted delicate “foliate” Necklace is centrally set with an ‘Oval Cut’ natural Sapphire of 2.10 Carats with no indication of treatment and supported on either side by an alternating foliate style design each set with Seed Pearls, there is also a single Seed Pearl set intermittently within the lower section of the Necklace. A further foliate style articulated drop, with the same foliate style Seed Pearl set design, suspends a second ‘Cushion Cut’ Natural Sapphire of 1.34 Carats, again with no indication of treatment.
The total Carat weight of the Sapphires is estimated as 3.44 Carats.
Accompanied by an Independent Gemmological Report confirming the above assessment.
It should be noted that untreated Sapphires are scarce.
