Object Description
From our collection of Japanese Satsuma ware from the reign of Emperor Meiji, this very fine bowl with a complex mille-fleur (thousand flowers), design featuring (among others), Peonies, Chrysanthemums and daisies.
The densely packed florals pack the entire interior and exterior of the bowl, constituting many, many hours of work using the finest of brushes.
Signed Hozan to the underside.
