Aesthetic movement chair in the style of A.W.N Pugin

An imposing Neo Gothic form dating from the last quarter of the 19th century. Chair has chamfered top rails, arms and legs; tusk and pegged tenon joint back rails carved with central rosettes. Padded velvet seat, braiding to front and side and constructed in oak with a dark stained finish.

Object Condition

Later repair to middle back rail, some wear to cushion.
