Object Description
Circa 1880, Aesthetic Movement style gilded and ebonized wood overmantel mirror. The top has a mixture of painted and gilding, each end capped with 2 finials and beneath is an arched mirror with open fretwork and gilded foliate carving. There are 2 full shaped columns with gilded, carved gesso to the side and there is a half round section with small flower heads spaced evenly throughout. At the base is a small gilded section and 2 quarter brackets and it retains its original mirror plate.
