Alcock Staffordshire dog & cat figure

Object Description

Alcock Staffordshire porcellaneous figure which features a dog and cat, seated on an oval base. Dull gilt base line. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse. Maker’s marks impressed.

Object Condition

Generally good. Some rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to dog’s back and left paw and also to cat’s left leg. RESTORATION. Cat’s right leg remodelled. Filled chip to cat’s right ear.
