Object Description
A A Glendenning was a London based painter from Greenwich working around 1840. He began life as a railway clerk before devoting his time to his passion of painting. He rapidly became one of the most celebrated Victorian period landscape artists specialising in Home Counties narrative rustic subjects of which this fine oil on canvas is a first class example. It is entitled “A Surrey Pasture”.
