Object Description
A finely moulded, terracotta Amlash jar featuring a stylised zoomorphic handle. The body of the vessel is globular, with a wide, funnel-shaped mouth. The rounded body is decorated with concentric circles, creating a pleasing, repetitive pattern. A strap handle connects the rim and the shoulder and is embellished with a stylised animal-head terminal, typical of Amlash pottery. The vessel sits on a flat base and there are three, evenly-spaced knobs, acting as feet.
