An elegant pair of finely constructed French rosewood and kingwood marble top bedside cabinets.
French Circa 1900.
The serpentine pink marble tops within a looped strapwork over a bombe shaped rosewood body, enclosing two drawers, with shaped kingwood panels and rococo brass handles, within keeled corners over a shaped apron standing on very fine carbine legs running to brass sabots.
Finished to all sides these night tables / cabinets are able to stand freely within the room if need, for instance as lamp tables either side of a central sofa.
These are very fine quality and earlier than most seen on the market having hand cut dovetail joints and solid oak drawer sides and linings.
Offered in excellent original condition with a wonderful colour and patina having been wax polished.
