An Elegant Regency Period Table
Attributed to Gillow
Constructed in a striking flamed Honduran mahogany: rising from brass castor shod swept and ebony strung legs, the ends housing vertical frames enclosing triple tapering and turned spindles and joined by a shaped stretcher; the rectangular top with rounded corners inlaid with fine ebony geometric foliate stringing, the frieze of conforming outline enclosing two lockable drawers with brass handles and ebony inlay, with opposing dummy drawers of identical design to the sides.
