An exceptional mid 19th century Japanese Lacquer table, the top inlaid with mother of pearl and abalone shell marquetry of peacocks among peonies. The revolving drum top with single drawer in the frieze, raised on a column base supported on four green painted dragon feet, the base inlaid with sprigs and flowers.
This fine lacquer and pearl inlaid table was probably produced for the European market.
