Object Description
An exceptional very early Dutch brass bed warming pan, dated: 1610 And marked with a makers signature with initials and house mark, in an unbelievable nearly “new” condition, not over polished or damages, still with the original connection of the lid with the handle, no repairs and with a beautiful typical early lid decoration with in the centre a coat of arms surrounded by the typical early pointed star decoration.
The original long wrought iron handel still covered with the original brass sheet. The rim of the lid with the following Dutch text and date:
MET DER BRANDENDE LIEFDE VAN CHRISTO ONSEN HEERE SAL ICK U RUSTPLAETS VERWARMEN T SYNDER EERE 1610

With the burning love of Christ our Lord I will warm your resting place ( bed stead ) to his honour 1610
