Object Description
An exquisite Platinum (tested, with worn marks) Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, centrally “Rub-over Set” with one “Rectangular Cushion Cut” Natural Untreated Ceylon Sapphire, weighing 8.10 carats (weighed), surrounded by twenty four “Rub-over Set” “Single Cut” Diamonds, with scalloped edging. There are a further three “Pave Set” “Single Cut” Diamonds set in each “Marquise Shaped” shoulder (six in total) leading to a beautiful raised setting with a scrolling “Heart” design. All on a lovely Platinum “Double Reeded” shank.
The Sapphire accompanied by an Independent Gemmological Report confirming that the Natural Transparent Blue Sapphire measures 10.6 x 8.9 x 8.7 mm, weighs 8.10 Carats, the origin being Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and that No evidence of Heat Treatment was observed.
It should be noted that untreated Sapphires are scarce.
