Object Description
An exquisite Art Nouveau double strung Long Guard Chain, set with 7 Natural Seed Pearls, with three alternating lozenges set with Double Diamonds (6 Diamonds in total, 3 in reverse), there are a further three lozenges each with a Ruby on one side (3 in total) and Emeralds on the other side (3 in total). The chain is complete with an original “Sprung Claw” style fastener and all the gemstones are set in Platinum tipped mounts on 18 Carat Yellow Gold (this beautiful chain has French marks)..
This enviable and very lengthy chain can be easily looped to create a double graduated swag necklace. The “Sprung Claw” clasp also facilitates the interchangeable aspects of attaching various charms, lockets and Gem set pendants etc. (as and when you wish), to suit any occasion. A very versatile and easily wearable piece of imaginative and finely worked Antique Jewellery.
