Object Description
An octagonal Regency rosewood card box, the hinged lid with a central cartouche showing a classical lady painting a child while another child plays on a stool, all within a gilt and black penwork border, with boxwood stringing and inlays, the pale blue interior with seven compartments containing bone fish-shaped counters and several packs of George III playing cards by Hunt & Sons and Josiah Stone. English, circa 1815.
