AN XVIII CENTURY CORDOBAN HAND PAINTED & GILT EMBOSSED LEATHER SCREEN

Object Description

A fine XVIII Century Spanish Cordoban four-fold leather screen. Entirely hand painted with foliage, birds and fruits and gilt embossed. In remarkable condition for it’s age, it was remounted on to a new frame c.1900.

Provenance: Haughton Castle, Northumberland.
