Object Description
An ancient Egyptian necklace consisting of black glass disc beads and a glass eye amulet. The large central amulet is made from polished black and white glass, similar in style to the inlays that graced mummy masks. The eye presents a typical almond shape with a white background, dark iris and dark outline, framing the eye. The black beads are uniform in both size and shape. Please not that the necklace has been restrung on a white string, and that there is no clasp. Given that this amulet is pierced it was intended as a talisman, rather than an inlay.
Half length measures 21cm.
