A fine Ancient Egyptian amulet carved from mottled green feldspar, depicting Harpocrates or ‘Horus the Child’ crouching in side profile with his knees up by his chest. The deity sits upon a flat platform. He is wearing the side-lock of youth which symbolically indicated that the wearer is the legitimate heir of Osiris.
