Object Description
An ancient Egyptian pale turquoise-glazed, faience amulet in the form of a ram, representing the god Khnum. The deity is depicted standing upon a rectangular plinth, with one foot striding forward and the back leg bent in motion. His head is modelled naturalistically with details to the eyes, snout and mouth. The horns are twisted downwards and frame the ears. There is a small loop on the animal’s back for suspension, although it is not fully perforated.
