Object Description
A finely modelled, ancient Roman bronze tutulus disk fibula. The body of the fibula is formed from a conical protrusion, styled from raised bands. The smallest band is embossed with a circle. Six protruding lugs decorate the sides of the body, perforated with a circle and dot motif. Unusually this fibula features a hinged spring to the reverse, with a large rectangular catch plate. The original pin is still intact.
