Object Description
A stunning, ancient Roman glass unguentarium blown from vivid cobalt-blue glass. The vessel features a piriform body, a slight constriction at the base of the cylindrical neck, a flat everted rim and a flattened, slightly dimpled base. Subtle iridescence to the surface of the unguentaria highlights the intense colour of the glass and adds a slight purple hue. Large internal air bubbles add variation in colour and iridescence around the widest part of the body.
