Object Description
A finely restrung Ancient Roman necklace composed of glass beads of different hues of light blue. The beads include cylindrical, discoid, and spherical, alternating in size. The necklace features a pendant-like drop formed from three large beads, and a hooped bead, through which the necklace is secured. Each bead is unique in translucency, texture, shape and size, which creates a mosaic-like impression. The necklace testifies to the popularity of glass ornaments across the Roman Empire. The necklace is finished with a gold-plated clasp (please be aware the clasp has not been professionally tied).
