Anglo- Irish Regency Fine Cut Glass Pedestal Vase & Cover

Object Description

From a private collection from a prestigious London residence, we are pleased to offer this exceptional Regency Anglo-Irish cut glass pedestal vase or bonbonnieres and cover dating from the early 19th century. The cut glass vase stands raised on a wide round foot with a deep star cut design to the base and with a solid round knop stem. The bud shaped round body is decorated with diamond, prism and slice cut designs with a raised fan shaped cut edge. The tall shaped and domed cover sits within the recess and has a raised flat mushroom star cut finial mounted on a narrow stem. The vase and cover are not marked.

In good condition with customary age wear to the base and few minor nibbles but nothing of major consequence with wonderful brightness and quality.
