An antique medieval carved stone gargoyle from the private collection of a country house in Oxfordshire, originally purchased from Crowther of Syon Lodge in 1985.
Dating to the 13th-14th century, this impressive sculpture quickly catches your eye as its gaping mouth and vacant stare draws you in; its handcarved body is an ode to its medieval sculptor.
Displayed as pictured, or however desired, this piece would make for a striking new addition in any garden stood alone or amongst wild flowers and greenery.
