Antique 18th Century ‘milchglas’ Bohemian tureen

The cover, bowl, and stand of this antique Bohemian tureen are crafted entirely in ‘milchglas,’ an opaque glass with an appearance similar to porcelain. The tureen is painted all over with vignettes of fêtes galantes as well as floral arrangements and is parcel gilt to the rims and finial.
