Object Description

A lovely quality of small proportions ( 3 feet wide) leather topped mahogany library table dating to circa 1840.
This very good quality table has been made with a finely grained mahogany which has mellowed over the years to give a lovely hue.
The shaped top having an inset gilt tooled leather has a crossbanded edge sitting above a moulded frieze on shaped end supports.
Each support having a flame mahogany inset panel and carvings to the top and base united by a carved and reeded stretcher.

Raised on reeded bun feet with recessed brass castors this quality table is in excellent condition having been restored using traditional methods boasting a very good colour and patina.
This antique table is extremely well made and will make a stunning addition to any home.
