Antique 19th Century Terracotta Model of a Hound from Belgium

Dimensions: Height 30cm, width 50cm, depth 19cm
This charming model depicts a dog on all fours with its face lowered towards a stream of water. He stands on top of a naturalistically formed base, next to a water fountain. The model is crafted from terracotta in Belgium in the late 19th Century, and features a stamp to the bottom reading ‘Fabrication Belge’ with several number inscriptions.
