Object Description
This very attractive walnut desk chair was made in the late 19th century in the Aesthetic manor influenced by E.W.Godwin.
It has a carved back rest with a padded central panel. The horse-shoe shaped arms are supported by nicely turned spindles and have a central carved central.
The seat is lightly padded and upholstered in an old brown hide with studded brass boarder.
It chair stands on boldly turned front legs and swept back legs with replacement brass castors.
This lovely antique chair has a ‘county house’ look and over time has acquired an attractive patina.
