An elegant antique art deco Siena marble fireplace. Beautifully crafted in an architectural style, this fireplace has a timeless design and golden tone, perfect for contemporary and period properties alike.

Dating to circa 1920, this Italian fireplace would suit properties of Art Deco, Regency, or Neoclassical style, making it an elegant yet versatile piece. Its squared columns and protruding jambs only add to its beauty.

Siena marble is one of the best known marbles of Italy, sourced from the quarries of Siena in the Tuscan countryside. The intense ochre colour of this stunning marble is broken up by veins and markings of various colours; particularly of yellow, white, and grey, such as it is in the fireplace – typical colours of the soil around Siena.

Object Condition

Good structural condition. Previously set 1.5cm into wall. Couple of chips on the back, but once set this will not be visible. Original workshop repairs to flaws in the marble. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses, scuffs, and scratches.

FROM THE M50 / ROSS-ON-WYE

At the end of the M50, take the A40 towards Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth. Take the A49 Hereford Road (third roundabout after leaving the M50). Ignore the first two signposts for Wormelow, stay on the A49 for approximately nine miles and take the next left turn after passing the Pilgrim Hotel, signed A466 Wormelow. Follow the road for approximately 400 meters. We are located halfway down the hill on the right-hand side. The site is called: Grove Farm / The Grove.

FROM A49 HEREFORD

Follow the A49 south from Hereford for approximately five miles. After the uphill section at the Callow, there is a layby on your right followed by one on your left. Take the next right turn onto the A466 signed Wormelow / Monmouth. Follow the road for approximately 400 meters. We are located halfway down the hill on the right-hand side. The site is called: Grove Farm / The Grove.
