Crafted at the hand of a talented 19th century blacksmith, this antique fire basket is wonderfully ornate, detailed with scrolling throughout. It is typical of the fine craftsmanship of the arts and crafts period and makes a stunning feature of a fireplace today.
Wrought Iron Fire Grates
Ironwork made from wrought iron have stood the test of time. This traditional method of craftsmanship sees the metal heated to a high temperature and then hammered into shape by a blacksmith’s hand, creating a robust and durable finish. The more wrought iron is worked, the stronger it becomes, making some of the most ornate antique ironwork some of the strongest.
