A delightful little antique silver cup with a faded gilt patina; having cast foliate side handles and decorative motifs to the lower body. Original bright gilt interior.

Made in Augsburg, Germany.

Marks. Stamped on the outside rim with the Augsburg pineapple mark and maker’s mark, “IB” unattributed, who was working in Augsburg circa 1674 (see page 141 in Rosenberg’s “Goldsmiths”). The third mark is probably a duty mark. Underneath the foot there’s an assay scrape.
