Antique Bakshayish carpets were woven in a region of north west Persia where Heriz-Serapi carpets are also woven. They bear similar resemblances to their Heriz cousins but are more unique due to their spontaneity and bold expressiveness which makes them more abstract. Hence, they are much sought after.
