The central design features geometric motif pattern woven symmetrically with a highly-detailed surround design. The border is highly-detailed layered with motifs woven in a repeat pattern. This rug is hardwearing because of both the techniques and material used in the construction, making this rug suitable for any room in your home. Object History

This traditional design has been handwoven with hand-spun wool and cotton, all of which have been dyed using traditional vegetable dying techniques. Handwoven in 1890.
