Object Description

This is a British Indian Army Regiment silver plated handle walking stick, circa 1910 in date.
 
The silver-plate handle is embossed with the regimental crest and titles of notable engagement, the regiment name and “QUEEN MARY’s OWN”, on a tapering Malacca shaft with its original tall metal ferrule.
 
The 127th (Queen Mary’s Own) Baluch Light Infantry – a British Indian Army regiment raised in 1844, with notable service in the Indian Rebellion of 1857, the Second Afghan War 1879-80, British East Africa 1897-99 and World War I.

Condition:
In good condition. As an antique item, the piece shows minor signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, it displays beautifully.
