Object Description
This antique card table is a fine example from the beginning of the 19th century. It is made of mahogany, is cross banded around the top, has gadrooned decoration all around and ebonised inlay to the frieze. The base is a slender column which terminates with an elegant four splay base. The base is sturdy while leaving plenty of room for players legs. The top spins round 90 degrees and unfolds to reveal a storage space under the baize playing surface.
