Object Description
An antique carved oak hall settle, basically made up in Victorian times from 17 th century elements. Two deep recessed panels in the back with centre and side figural caryatids, a plank seat with open arms, the legs in in the form of caryatids either side of a demi lune carved frieze. Although made up the settle has some exceptional early carving and would stand comfortably with good 17th century oak furniture. Both 17th and 19th century in date.
