Object Description
Antique Colombian emerald and rose cut diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set with rectangular emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with no colour enhancement and minor clarity enhancement in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.00 carats, further set with six round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.10 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, a finely pierced openwork collet and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting diamond set shoulders with intricate leaf design flowing into a solid ridged shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with silver settings, maker’s mark ‘GB’, circa 1860, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-5195.
