Antique embroidery with Hebrew inscriptions

The wall hanging is crafted from embroidered textile. The frieze that rings each of the two halves reads ‘Jerusalem’ repeatedly in Hebrew, while the Star of David at the centre of each half reads ‘Zion’. The remainder of the surface is finely embroidered with foliate designs.
