Here is a fine quality antique English early Victorian rosewood upholstered height adjustable stool, circa 1850, which has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, and is in excellent condition. The stool has been newly upholstered in top quality patterned structured chenille material, finished with traditional brass studs. The seat itself is firm, which means that you won’t sink into the upholstery, but at the same time, it is very comfortable to sit on. Within the underside of the seat, the stool boasts a H. Brooks & Co. patent raising / lowering cast iron mechanism. The height of the stool can be adjusted by turning either of the turned knobs situated on either side of the frame. The stool stands on four elegant turned, tapering reeded legs. Ideal for use as a piano stool.
This stool features a rich brown rosewood finish. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This upholstered stool would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom to living room. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
