Object Description
This is a beautiful antique bronze sculpture of a lioness by the renowned French sculptor Louis Riche (1877 – 1947), circa 1910 in date.
The sculpture depicts a recumbent lioness raised on a stepped rectangular base, signed L Riche and inscribed Med. d’or, E Algrain, Paris.
The lioness has her front paws neatly outstreched with back paws to the side with a curled up tail.
This high-quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional “lost wax” process, otherwise known as the “cire perdue” method.
This is a splendid antique bronze sculpture which is sure to receive the maximum amount of attention wherever it is placed.
Condition:
