Antique French gilt bronze and enamel miniature carriage clock

This small and elegant gilt bronze carriage clock is crafted in the Neoclassical style. The clock features a frame modelled with gilt bronze fluted columns and a classical entablature. The side panels of the frame are inset with enamel plaques painted with Rococo style scenes, while the front of the clock features a white enamel dial surrounded by an elaborate scrolling foliate gilt bronze mount. The base of the clock is inset with enamel landscape panels, and the top is surmounted by a shaped gilt bronze handle. The clock comes with its leather travel case, which is open to the front, allowing the dial to be read.
