Antique French ormolu cartel clock by Autray Fils, Paris

Object Description

The clock stamped on the reverse ‘1853’ and ‘CA’, on the front the central circular enamel dial signed ‘Autray / Paris’; the dial set within a circular golden ormolu case of unusual design, with circular roundel above depicting a relief of two cherubs and an ormolu hanging in the form of a velvet support and ribbon surmount.
