An excellent quality French silver hand bell. Good plain style and heavy cast silver with gilt finish and concentric decorative borders. Weight 113 grams, 3.6 troy ounces. Height 11 cms. Diameter 5.8 cms. Stamped around the bottom edge with French silver marks. High grade 950 silver. Circa 1880.
This useful little silver bell is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. It rings beautifully. The silver marks are clear and easy to read. Bright original gilding with a small amount of wear.
