Object Description
An antique George VI sterling silver asparagus serving dish which is rectangular in shape with a plain body, wavy shaped edges, two side handles and resting on a flat base. The original silver grill sits neatly within the dish and completes with the overall design. It comes complete with a pair of silver serving tongs, made in the same period but by a different maker, which make a perfect match for this silver asparagus serving dish. This desirable and fairly rare silver asparagus dish would be perfect to use and would look interesting when displayed on the table. The tongs are dated for Sheffield 1931 by Harrison Brothers & Howson. It remains in excellent condition.
