Object Description
This very attractive mahogany Georgian desk chair has a generous horse shoe shaped back in solid mahogany. The back has a ‘swept’ back rest, scrolling arms and carved detail to the sides of the seat. It has a padded seat upholstered in an antique brown leather hide with brass studded borders. The chair has a serpentine shaped front and stands on reeded front legs and ‘swept back’ back legs. It has its original brass castors and has, over time, acquired an attractive patina with a deep mahogany colour.
This very handsome, comfortable and sturdy chair would work well as a desk chair, office or hall chair.
In excellent antique condition having recently been professionally cleaned and wax polished.
