Antique Georgian Silkwork Embroidery depicting a girl with sheep, sitting under a tree. Hilly countryside in the background. The embroidery is worked in silk, on a silk ground, in a variety of stitches. Colours cream, brown, beige, gold, green and yellow. Hand painted detail to girl’s face and hands. Framed in a modern, burr-maple effect frame. Stretched over a wooden stretcher frame and held in place with stitching. Brown paper backing.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.
